Look at the major corporations in the UK and see how many are US owned

(just a few at random)
Ford
Vauxhall
Asda
Land Rover (not a major employer but one of the bastions of englishness)

If you think the only US involvement in the UK economy is MacD's & Bugger
King you are sadly deluded
