It was "Sladest" for me circa 72/73 - GBP 2.70 in Woolworths if my memory
serves me correct. Double gatefold sleeve & internal booklet - 16 of Slade's
greatest hits at the time. Quality. My first ever single was in 1974 (?) and
that was the magnficent "Seven Seas Of Rhye" by Queen. My copy came with no
picture sleeve & was purchased for a right royal 50 pence spent in Boots.

My first "punk" record acquired was No More Heroes by The Stranglers off a
mate at school. The first one I purchased though in late 1979 was The
Damned's "Machine Gun Etiquette" quickly followed by "The Crack" by The Ruts
& "Never Mind The Bollocks" although I was also into the first couple of
album's by The Police.

Regards,

Antoni
