[kj] RE: the first record you bought/what you listen to Alex how old???

Well, DRESSED TO KILL featured that clunky old warhorse, "Rock'n'Roll
All Night" (as in "I wanna..."), which -- despite its anthemic status
-- has never been a favorite of mine. Beyond that, though, DRESSED TO
KILL is a comparatively lean affair. The best tracks are probably the
ones where they tried to spot-weld their love for Beatlesesque pop with
proto-metal guitar bluster. Tracks like "Love Her All I Can" and
"Anything for My Baby," specifically. "She" is a nice Sabbath pastiche.
"Getaway" (written by Ace, sung by Peter) could've easily fit on the
first album by the Dictators or the New York Dolls. "Two Timer",
"Ladies in Waiting" and "Room Service" are all indefensibly silly, but
fill out the disc nicely.

It'll never be canonized, but a fine album it remains.
