Worse things the Joke could do than open for Motley Crue:

- Personally endorse a soft drink ("I'm Jaz Coleman, and my thirst doesn't always end at knowledge . . .")

- Sell their music to SUV adverts

- Show up on chat shows praising the talents of Ashley Simpson and hinting at wanting to work with her

- Sign on to do a reality show where they share a house for a month ("Blimey Raven, you've clogged the toilet again!" "F*ck off Jaz, you've unleashed ancient gods in the basement!")

You see? Relatively speaking, it's not that bad. I'm in the show business myself, and if someone laid 100k on me just to do my thing in an atmosphere not necessarily conducive to my thing, I'd take it. Especially if I could use the money to invest in my own promotion, like, say, a top notch DVD of my anniversary shows. You pick and choose your compromises if you want to be in the game, otherwise you take the cabin-in-the-woods route and care less about recognition until years after your death.

The Joke will grin and bear it, so we too should grin and bear it realizing that, in the end, it could be beneficial to everyone concerned.

The T-shirt scandal, on the other hand, deserves an explanation. At least to those most directly affected, who, in turn, could let the rest of us know the scoop. Jesus, we're the hardcores, you could tickle our bollocks once in a while.
