Religion is one thing- spirituality and the spiritual sciences are  another
Each "religion" has an exoteric side and an esoteric side. The exoteric  
being what would be termed as fundamental religion. The mystical/esoteric side  of 
each being spiritual sciences. 
I have heard it said (although its a major generalization) that stupid  
people are into religion, smart people are turned off/dont belive in religion  but 
smarter people understand the spiritual sciences. 
  It does make sense that one would be turned off to what is out there  but 
that dosent give some rubber stamp that it all is falsified.
