I don't know what everyone else made of Thursday but
to be honest Tim I thought the sound was shockingly
bad - I was up in the gods - and watching one of the
2003 Astoria shows from a similar position the sound
was incredible. But this time couldn't hear Geordie AT
ALL - just a horrible distorted ear-splitting hiss.
Friday was a zillion times better than Thursday, but
I'm just listening to the Astoria boot now and that
was far superior. Maybe I was just unlucky Thursday
and sat in an acoustic blackspot or something. I took
a couple of friends (who'd never seen KJ) and, having
been going on at them at length about Geordie's
genius, afterwards they thought I was severely
deluded! If they're using any of Thursday for the dvd
there's going to have to be some serious remixing
