I use a Winamp plugin which is based on the same library (ReplayGain) as 
mp3gain. It's really good, not perfect but at least it doesn't ruin the 
sound quality, unlike other programs like Nero and several other replay 
gain plugins i've tried.

So yeah, go for mp3gain.
