Well, even if he was guilty of the crimes he was convicted of (and I 
believe he maintained `til the end that he was framed), I'd have been 
satisfied with life-imprisonment. Then again, that wasn't my brother or 
son or whomever he allegedly gunned down.  By all accounts, it seems he 
genuinely went on to renounce his previous life as a gangster (fully 
rehabilitated, then?) But, y'know, if he did do it, he's got to pay the 
piper. But at this stage, I don't see what was really gained by killing 
him.
