O.K.
  Try watching a movie with the sound turned down.Try going to a concert and
instead of watching the band turn and face the other way.
  Try eating a meal with your eyes closed,Or when your sense of smell of
disabled.
    When attending a sporting advent,Its more enjoyable if there is a good
atmosphere ,which is created by sound.Which proves that the more senses
used,the higher the enjoyment.(I was going to use an adult orientated
example,But its still morning time here)
   Of course there are exceptions to the rule:For example,In a library
people generally want to concentrate on reading.
