To mark the anniversary of the first Sex Pistols gig at St. Martin's
School Of Art in 1975, 6 Music presents a four-part documentary
charting the rise of Punk and specifically the Sex Pistols.

The journey takes in pirate radio in the UK, Eddie Cochran and The
Who, with regular detours to the US to take in The New York Dolls, MC5
and of course Iggy And The Stooges.

Throughout all four parts is the music that helped shape punk and
interviews with the people involved such as Sylvain Sylvain of The New
York Dolls, Joe Strummer and more but not the Ramones - imagine anyone
thinking they had anything to do with it! doh! ; ) .
