Because it's human nature to look after ones own interests.People work to
earn money for themselves,They dont work solely to make their bosses rich.
    And when we elect governments we expect them too look after our
interests.
     ( Not that  I think the war in Iraq was in "our"interests,But the
leaders did think it was)
