As Coleman has stated to me, recently, "Crowely's work is very 
important, and important to study, but I wouldn't trust the man with my 
children". I don't think many thelemites study thelema so much for 
Crowley the man, but rather the philosophy, and the growth that has 
come to them personally as a result. I cant say Aleister would be my 
first choice to have on speed dial for baby sitting duties.

Also, a lot of the misconceptions I find when discussing thelema, comes 
from "Do what thou wilt". A vast majority of people around seem to 
honestly feel that means, in a nut shell, if it feels good do it. To 
me, our true will goes beyond that of the flesh or personal material 
items. Our true will, in my interpretation, is a road to self discovery 
and self discipline. To follow your true will, is basically the same as 
following your true path. Has nothing to do with things material in 
nature. The importance of interpretation also has a lot to do with 
thelema...it is left to the individual to find their own place, think 
and discover for and of themselves.
