I think it's a bit of both what peter and Rob said.
Things are generally cheaper in Europe (s'funny how us Brits tend to refer
to it as somewhere else) but you can also take advantage of exchange rates
if you look.
For instance I've just been looking at the i-tunes music store for the 1st
time.
£0.79 a track from the uk store, but at todays exchange rates you get 'em
for £0.66 from the European stores and only £0.54 from the US!
Ultimately, it pays to shop around.
