[kj] que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be, we're going to Wem-ber-ley !

Another question: how on God's Green Earth are Motley Crue playing fuckin' Wembley???? The last time they toured here in the States, they were barely filling clubs. Are they still big in Europe? Here, they're strictly a nostalgia act. Moreover, not for nothing -- they ALREADY did the "reunion of original members" thing (anyone remember GENERATION SWINE??? Me neither). Actually, I went to that show at the Roseland Ballroom. Vince Neil had been coaxed back into the band (after the self-titled album with since-slunk-back-into-deserved-obscurity singer John Corabi). They come out to a new song. Crowd goes wild. Neil steps up to the mic. "Hey everybody, we have a new album coming out tomorrow, and we're going to play it for your RIGHT NOW!" ::::Crickets::::: Cue a MASSIVE exodus to the bar and men's room amidst cries of "FUCK YOU". Here's a clue: don't play new material on a reunion tour.....especially if you're Motley Crue. Halfway through the set (including a mawkish piano ballad by Tommy Lee celebrating his soon-to-be acrimonious ex-wife Pamela Anderson), the Crue wised up (if such a thing is possible) and launched into a medley of their standby faves like "Live Wire" and "Looks that Kill". The show ends with seemingly choreographed violence as Nikki chastises a bouncer. Hooray.

Oh would I so love to be a fly on the wall backstage at the impending Wembley gig as Vince Neil and Jaz Coleman attempt to occupy the same room and have a conversation.

End Times must be near.

This is some fucked up shit, my friends.

However, I always thought Dr. Feelgood was more of a heinous Joke ripoff
than Come As You Are, so maybe this is some sort of payback. These gigs
alone might finance the next album, I guess.

Can't believe that Motley Crue are still enough of a going concern to go on
a year-long world tour, let alone to play Wembley.

T.

ps - now that the shock has worn off, I can't say I'd be upset to see them
bump up the anniversary shows to January and do the entire tour....
