Canada to embrace Sharia soon

Canada on verge of adopting Sharia law

Waves of immigrants, entering the country at an average of 220,000 a year
since 1989, are transforming Canada. Newcomers from the Asia-Pacific region,
Middle East and Africa, are already a force to reckon with in the country's
politics, making their voices heard and helping to elect representatives to
federal and provincial legislatures. With the vast majority of the
population being non-white, and a sizable number of them being
non-Christian, in a country that once was quite explicit in both, this
transformation is extending to domestic policy in a remarkable way.

Canada is about to adopt Islamic Sharia law, the first country in the west
to do so. The country's most populous and prosperous province, Ontario, has
recognised the use of Sharia law for the resolution of disputes in civil
matters.
