[kj] OT: VHS to iMac question

Just a note of caution. I bought a usb tv capture card (a dazzle one) which
is sitting in a box in my garage now. I did not ever manage to get anything
good enough to put on VCD using it. It's just a redundant piece of junk to
me now. They may have improved since then of course. But like I said, the
most important factor when capturing video is the speed of your disks. If
the video cannot be written to disk fast enough then you will get dropped
frames. SCSI or ULTRA DMA will do the job fine.

Here's just about the best site on the web for help, advice and free
software

http://www.dvdrhelp.com

All the best Joe! Took me a couple of years and a lot of expense to get a
good finished article.

Mik
