[kj] killing joke tour / gathering-only gigs

i'd love a gathering-less gig in london, so i could go.

with respect, why would they want to do a gathering-only gig? it's just and 
email list. it's not like you pay to join or anything. any old sod can sign 
up. all it means is you've got a computer and you can spare the minute or 
two it takes to sub. i think it's a crap idea and anyway it'll never happen, 
it'll be like the secret party they were going to do in cheltenham - i.e. 
just one of those throw-away remarks made by a drunken member of the band 
that seemed genuine at the time but turned out to be complete atkins. and 
even if they did how many people would show up? if every single gatherer in 
europe/USA went to their respective gigs it'd still be a shit crowd. maybe 
some people like small gigs but i think 30 or so computer geeks does not a 
great show make. bollocks to it.
