My observations seem to concur with Jon's... although admittedly Iain & =
I have only spent one evening in the company of the band.
=20
Whilst I have nothing but respect and admiration for his music and, =
(when he was on form), his live performances, Jaz's behaviour on that =
evening basically reminded me of that of a spoilt child. He was =
entertaining and friendly whilst he was the centre of attention, but =
very quick to throw tantrums to get his own way when not. Maybe we =
caught him on a bad night, but I got the impression his mood swings are =
something the rest of the band & crew were having to get used to dealing =
with.

Ted was a thoroughly nice bloke, as he has been on other occasions we've =
met him.
=20
Unfortunately we saw very little of Raven as he seemed to be keeping =
himself to himself, (maybe because it's not much fun being sober when =
all around you are not??). On the couple of occasions we did briefly =
bump into him on other dates he was a perfect gent as ever though, =
friendly & chatty, and he really chuffed our friend James, as he clearly =
remembered him from only only 1 previous meeting at a Godflesh gig. =
Sadly, we had to run off that evening to catch a train, so couldn't talk =
for longer. I think my one regret of the UK tour is that we never really =
got a proper chance to talk to Raven.

Nick was friendly & sociable, and seemed to be a very nice man.

Geordie seemed OK, but he was understandably more interested in catching =
up with members of his family, than chatting to strangers. I've still to =
have a conversation with the man, so can't really comment.

I've always shied away from disturbing bands backstage, 'cos it feels =
artificial, uncomfortable and intrusive, (and when you do lots of gigs =
you usually end up bumping into band members for a chat somewhere along =
the way anyway). An educational evening when we somehow found ourselves =
on the bus during the UK tour has done nothing but reinforced my usual =
policy, and I'll continue to be happy to just meet band members when =
they are feeling sociable enough to venture outside of their "private" =
realms.

sharing the hot wings, shit shooting, hamming it up for pics( alex, =
where are those pics?!) hanging all night and patiently listening to a =
stranger go on about himself.
he also was open about plans for the joke 2004 ( most interesting of =
which are the plans for a southern and southwestern US tour starting in =
march '04!) we'll see.

raven was a gent a pal (unless you are a particular member of the boston =
audience) he seemed quite genuinely happy to be in the company of random =
fans and gatherers alike. he might be the world's biggest joke fan and =
he honestly loves those who make up this cyber assemblance. btw, he =
mentioned there are plans for gathering only gigs in the US and europe! =
make of that what you will. he really isn't a dangerous fella so don't =
let the mug scare ya, go talk and yuck it up with him.=20
