well this is the thing.  if you try to tell anyone that The Darkness are infact horribly awful they just say but 'yeah but they're not taking themselves too seriously it's just rocking music'.
 
cool, if it's not serious then... DONT LET THEM BE NOMINATED FOR THE MERCURY PRIZE!  and don't grant them covers/reviews/interviews in music mags.
