Alright. As threatened, herewith THE GATHERING YEAR-END POLL FOR 2003. 
Most of you know how this works, but being that there are a lot of newbies around 
these days, simply Cut'n Paste the following questionaire part of this message into a 
new message and answer the questions as they apply to you, and then send them 
to the Gathering (gathering@misera.net). This is not a scientific nor deadly serious 
poll, so feel free to waive any questions that you find too invasive, but by the same 
token -- don't be a big pussy, answer the questions. It's only 45 questions, and most 
of them are short, one or two word answers, so keep thy whining to thyself.

gloucestershire's own, DEMOB! i start a new band, geordie walker produces 
said band's first offering, mayhem ensues ( churches burn,  pagans dance, 
the sky falls, aliens land, the earth belches - reclaims it's resources and 
irradicates the disease...etc.)     

9) What was the last album you bought,why, and how is it?: black eyed peas

releases of the year?
1) empire - expensive sound
2) mickey baker - the wildest guitar ( first time cd release)
3) how the west was won - led zeppelin
4) permission to land - the darkness ( ;P jim harper )
5) elephunk - black eyed peas 

11) What live bands have you seen recently. Did they rate?
aerosmith/kiss. never seen either so we took the opportunity to kill two birds 
with one stone. normally not my cup o' ramen but worth doing once, 
especially if you could use a laugh.

i was stunned and catchin' flies. was an exorcism
very jealous i didn't get to hear frenzy

34) Do you feel 'safer' now that Saddam Hussein has been apprehended? was i 
supposed to 'feel' threatened? 

35) Now that he's in custody, I would handle Saddam this way: have him take a 
bath put on his sunday best and go to church with rummy 

36) Where is Osama Bin Laden: physically? covertly stalemated and not in a 
position to be a threat. karl rove will release him when the time is appropriate. 

37) Have we seen the last of terrorism courtesy of Islamists on the homefront 
(US/UK/EUR)? nah

38) Do you feel prepared for another such instance? nope it may be a while 
before another canal lock is opened.

39) Do you think Iraq had anything to do with the events of September 11, 2001? 
iraq did not contribute

40) Where were you/what were you doing on that day? processing work papers 
getting library ready for opening

41) Were you the next American president, your first act in office would be: be the 
recipient of a sloppy hummer (via the first lady not a plump intern)

43) They want replace Franklin Delano Roosevelt's face on the American Dime with

44) George W. Bush is an idiot: True or False. Explain your feeling why you feel this 
way. Support your argument: he is not presidential caliber but we knew that. a 
simpleton is more like it. 
some people remark after meeting W that he is an nice average joe, and that 
is indeed his 'schtick'. but other than being average his only other 'attribute' 
is that he is a member of a very wealthy and connected family.  i have talked 
with W and what he chose to indulge me with from his enormous capacity, 
involved - 
ruminating about how hard his job is.
how cool a device for launching tennis balls for spot was.
the barf his dog launched that morning. 

now i purposely gave him some vague lead with this in order to disarm and 
see his reaction, and he ran with it. does that reflect he's a smart politician to 
play like he is down to earth? 
does it indicate he underestimates people in general and assumes they just 
want to talk 'dog barf' when presented the opportunity to gab with 'the most 
powerful person in the world'? 
or was it honestly all he has to offer?
regardless, i would have expected a real prez to take it to another level but W 
just sank. it wasn't charming or approachable, just void.

off: Bush's or Clinton's? clinton, not much consolation though
